If you own a smartphone, then you own a camera, and if you own a camera, you have the tools to create stunning images and video content. We will give you the skills to utilise your smartphone camera better, and show you how to release its full, photographic potential. You will come away with knowing how your camera works better as well as some tips and tricks to get those creative shots. Read more
We will provide you with the materials to make a full-sized bird or bug box to take home with you and an understanding of where to put your new box in the garden. All materials and safety equipment provided. Refreshments Provided. Open to ages 14 - 25 Read more
In 2020, we received a four year grant from The National Lottery Community Fund to develop a Young People’s Hub at the base in Beeches Road, Loughborough. Young volunteers are able to take part in a range of water-based educational, environmental and heritage projects, gaining new experiences, learning new skills and having fun. While enjoyable, the young people also gain greater confidence, self-belief and important collaboration skills.

If you've ever wanted to learn to fish, be guided by our team of professionally qualified and licensed angling coaches. All bait, equipment, permits and licence are provided. All you need to do is book in and turn up on time on the day. Read more
Would you like to volunteer with us at the trust helping with the Pirates trips during August? We are looking for volunteers from age 14 onwards up to age 25 to help with landside activities such as walk the plank, fishing from the pool and face painting as well as sponge throwing in the stocks! We will reward you with drinks, biscuits and a certificate to say you have volunteered for us. Read more

As part of our programme of free activities to encourage everyone to de involved and enjoy their local canal or river, blue spaces. Come down to our base on the Grand Union Canal anytime between 10.30am to 11.30 and build your own miniature narrowboat to take home. We've got LEGO kits to give away to children aged 5 - 13 years old. Come and spend the some time in the fresh air by the waterways and get creative. Read more

Learn about different species on a bug hunt & do some nature crafts too. We'll end the session with a sit down picnic (don't forget to bring some nibbles/packed lunch and a blanket to sit on) where we can talk about the different bugs we find on the day and learn some water safety tips. Read more
