Our skipper Chris Wakefield

Dear friends,

It is with great sadness that we share the news that Chris Wakefield, one of our much-valued skippers at Peter Le Marchant Trust, has passed away.

Chris was a dedicated member of our volunteer team and gave his time, skill, and kindness so generously. He touched the lives of many passengers, fellow volunteers, and staff through his commitment to the Trust and his warm, friendly nature. He will be greatly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing and working alongside him.

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Chris's family, friends, and all those who were close to him during this difficult time.

For those of you who met Chris while on the boat (you won't have forgotten his beaming smile or larger than life laugh), we have a book of condolence at the trust should you like to either pop in and write something or email to us and we'll complete it for you. It will be at the trust until the end of July.
